Bio & CV
I'm an IO economist who focuses on spatial topics and transportation. I'm especially interested in transportation and its effect on the spatial distribution of economic activity. Next August, I'll be joining the Chicago office of Charles Rivers Associates as a Senior Associate.
In my job market paper, I developed a methodology to estimate the cost function of a freight railroad and use it to analyze the network spillovers of infrastructure investment, the efficiency gains from a merger, and the effect of international demand shocks on domestic freight costs.
I hold a BA from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, an MA from CEMFI, and a PhD from Harvard University.Â
I was born in Argentina. I spend my free time reading obscure history, playing boardgames, and attending to the every whim of my my 4-year-old cat Freyja and her 1-year-old sidekick, Loki.
